Animal transportation rules
Small animals (up to 8 kg) are allowed on FinnAir flights. Any large-sized animal is registered as cargo and carried in the baggage compartment of the airplane. Pets may be carried in a carrier, with the exception of guide or service dogs, which must be fitted with a collar and muzzle.
The following requirements apply to pet carriers:

The carrier may be placed under the seat or on the passenger’s lap. If the weight of the pet with the carrier is more than 8 kg and the dimensions are higher than the maximum allowed, the pet is transported in the luggage. It is not included in the free baggage allowance and is charged at the rate of 30 euros.
Before boarding, it is necessary to present a vaccination certificate and a passport for the animal. Sick or pregnant animals are not allowed to fly. The maximum weight of the animal in the baggage compartment must not exceed 75 kg. Transportation of dogs and cats of brachycephalic breeds is prohibited in the baggage compartment.
